10/27/2017 · That is not normal. All versions of macOS can read NTFS formatted drives without extra software. Are you sure they are formatted as NTFS? What do you see in Disk Utility? Even if they can't be mounted, drives appear in Disk Utility, so you can at least check that your mac is seeing them. If they appear, see if clicking Mount will work.
